Rosita Chan-Vicelich, a legal assistant from Brooklyn, did not think of herself as a runner until her early 50's when she participated in a local charity race. Despite having a rotator cuff injury, she enjoyed the process of training and achieving a personal goal while benefitting a good cause. Before long, she decided to run the New York City Marathon as a member of Fred's Team in honor of her loved ones impacted by cancer. She finished with her arms raised triumphantly in the air, and continues to run to inspire her children.
We're looking for runners with inspiring stories to tell. If you are "just another runner" we'd love to hear from you!
